The Royal apricot is grown locally, mainly around Prince Alfred’s Hamlet, but we also source these apricots from Citrusdal, Tulbagh, and the Klein Karoo. This local apricot variety has a sophisticated tart flavor profile that South Africans have long loved. We also allow the Royal apricot, better known to Americans and Australians as Blenheim apricots, to tree-ripen for as long as possible so that both flavor and sweetness develop to their delicious best.
