Description
The Adder bush is native to the Western Cape area. Why the name Adder Bush - when the fynbos snakes shed their skin, they slither through the slangbos because of its rough and hard texture - it helps them to get rid of their skin. The slangbos have a very distinct taste. It is very earthy, peppery, and woody. Dried and fresh material is popular for floral arrangements and provides long-lasting interesting foliage.
The circular shape and the evergreen material make the wreath a representation of eternal life. It is also a representation of faith, as Christians often place a candle on the wreath during Advent to symbolize the light that Jesus brought into the world.
